Why punish your regulars with $30 to just try and make a few dollars. You are going to end up running your regulars off. It's an extra $20 for a family of four. I fill like I'm looking at lucky7 again.
Like it or not racing is a business and as a business if it don't turn a profit it goes away, and like any other business as prices increase the business passes this cost on eventually to the customers, and you are seeing this starting to happen at 201, and many other tracks across the country.
I am sure you have noticed in your personal life that your monthly bills have went up, from gas for your personal vehicle to, electric bill, to other household bills, insurance increases from time to time for some reason as areas get rezoned and so on, now magnify this times about a 1000 for a dirt track, and its facilty.
So as any business gets added cost to its bottom line, who ends up suffering the burdon? the customer, its just the business side of racing, its not the pretty side of the sport but it is what it is.
Also consider these factors
#1 201 has the highest quality lighting system in the region, these lights are TV Quality, there is not a dark spot on the entire track it turns night into day
#2 201 has the highest payout for a regular show, points champion payout, and special events payouts in the area
#3 201 probably has more people working to make the experience for the fans as entertaining as possible
#4 201 has a track crew that works litterally daily to keep the facility top notch for the drivers, and the fans, from the cutting of grass and weeds, to track prep, bathroom clean up and at least 4 concession stands going throughout the night around the facility
In order to keep a facility at the top its not cheap, and in order to keep the doors open it has to clear at least small profit to continue to improve.
Hope this kinda gives you a better idea of what I believe 201 is working toward
