Dirtcaster..Maybe you or somone else can clear this up for me. it involves Randy Fouts this past weekend. As you know i come with randy every weekend and am with the car. Anyways what is 201's rules on awarding points?? Heading into racing saturday night randy was tied for the the ponts lead with i think B.J. osborne..In the feature Randy was spun around and was said he caused that caution. He came in changed a tire and we put the wrong rim on. He spun again and was black flagged for 2 cautions. (which isnt my complaint) BUT the 201 officials by the nights end decided to take Randys points and money for the night.
I was just curious as to why we recieved 0 points for the whole night after winning a heat race and starting the feature? We havent seen the updated points yet but im guessing its not good. Noone at the track really had a good explanation for him or any of us. ??

Nope jamie..they sure didnt..The only real excuse they gave us was that they had to follow Bob rules? Im not sure what they meant by that though cause the modifieds wasnt sanctioned by bob, just the late models. Im really trying not to say anything bad about 201 and just trying to find out what happened or why..Noone just wants to give a straight ansewer from there..Not yet atleast..
Hmm. That is kind of odd not getting any points or payout. If you started the feature don't you get paid start money anyway? Thats wierd anyway them saying they had to follow BoB when they were there with the late models and not mods.
When I went to Lake Cumberland Speedway last season the final race of 2005 with Steve Howard when he drove the 23 Modified he flipped the Modified at the start of the race, in turn one and never completed a lap, and they never paid him said he had to complete one lap to get start money.

Ohh yea Jamie..there was no question we completed laps. Im not sure exacxt total but i can look and find out. We won the heat race and started on the pole. We was eventually spun out and had to come in and change a flat and went back out and he spun again (wrong tire). Which caused the black flag. So i dunno...I am just looking for ansewers as no one there seemed to have had any.
Your right oz...that wasnt much of an excuse having to follow Bob rules with the mods as well when they are there for the lates? If that were the case did they follow them on the limiteds, super bombers, bombers, and 4 cylanders? Are we seeing the start of a Battle of the Bluegrass 4 cylander division or ??....I doubt it...Im not causing any problems just trying to find some ansewers out..

Czar..we did..we tried and the 201 officials had no ansewer for us except that they had to follow Bob rules for modifieds as well. Nothing more aginst taking our points and money. Its kinda hard to argue a point aginst a official when they wont listen and stick by thier side. So what can ya do??..kick dirt and walk away, load up and go home...
Did the team get to SEE a set of the rules? Should have demanded to see in print if a rule is in place to where money and points are taken away from a black flag. That no money/points deal doesn't sound right at all.
i hate to bust a bubble on this but i just look at the points that was updated on july 1 and fouts had 400 points well guess what now he has 460 so he did get some points. so now 201 didnt cheat him out of points and today is the 9 and he does have 460 which puts him in 3rd place in points. dirtcaster does have them posted on here.

Minus3wife...your not burting anyones bubble..LOL..I am glad and thankfull that 201 reversed thier decision and gave us the points. All i was saying was that that night they told us that we wasnt getting any. And up untill the printing on here he hadnt gotten them.
And no Jamie, he never did get his starting money. Its a fight were not willing to fight with them anymore, it really doesnt do much good. Randy went back there to race tonite but i unfortantly didnt getta go, (had to work late) so im waiting to hear from them...
if he got black flagged then he was disqualified.that means your done,no money or points should have been awarded in that situation.sounds like 201 messed up and gave him points anyway.possible protest there if he were to win the points and the 2nd place car was within 60 points(what he recieved) at the end.
Just because you get the blackflag that just disqualifies you from the race at that point, the driver still gets credit for everything that happen to that point and in the final run down they still get credit for their finishing position and deserve the money and points for finishing in that position for that night.
The only time that any money or points should not be rewarded is in the case of fighting, or unsportsman like conduct by the driver either on the track or off the track, simply spinning out twice and being blackflagged is no reason to withhold any points or money from a driver.
I really don't think the BoB Series has a rule like this at least all the rules I have read says nothing about that.
I don't see any basis for any type protest in this situation
